MOS Boston - Visual Tests
Thanks to my brother Greg for his fascinating work on the "cymatics" visuals for our upcoming planetarium show. Even these first few tests illustrate a phenomenon echoed in the ancient scripture of so many belief systems- that vibration and frequency are powerful organizing forces in nature.

We've had so many creative submissions from fans that we've decided to start Fan Fridays - where we showcase a piece of art, music, photography, or brief writing from one of Dan's fans. To kick off Fan Friday, we have one of Dan's favorites - a song about Robert Langdon and the passions that drive him, by Henry Beckett (www.vbcreativepartners.com). It reminds us a bit of Adele's song "Skyfall."...

    If by outline you mean write the same book over and over again where a symbologist teams up with a smart female and uncover a conspiracy that goes back centuries whilst been tailed by an assassin or two. The yes he outlines. Fun reads though!

    dan brown's novels all have the same pattern. a symbology professor(whatever that is!) in European back stage with a native girl who is a genious in main theme of the book, with a very advanced hobby of symbols and cryptography and puzzles/anagrams, a diabolical villan who is about to destroy the world, with very fast movement through the settings which are classical/religious/architectural and renaissance art etc. the first novel(does not matter which one) will be very interesting, after that one you can fill in the blanks according to the afore mentioned style.

    • @Ilham-iu5wh
      @Ilham-iu5wh 2 года назад

      yeah all the novels are the same

    • @Rulupaul
      @Rulupaul Год назад

      Not true... They all have similar themes, but hey, they are part of the same series... 1. Obviously you can't really use the symbology professor and puzzles as an argument against these books since they are quite literally the trademark of the Langdon series... Imagine reading a Harry Potter book without wands. When I read a Robert Langdon book, I expect my beloved symbology professor to be back to solve puzzles. Otherwise it isn't a Robert Langdon book... 2. European backstage?? First of all, how does that narrow anything down? Europe has so much variation you wouldn't believe it! You can write tonnes of different stories set in Europe with incredibly different settings and themes. Secondly, the third book in the series, The Lost Symbol, is set entirely in the US. 3. If he met people who aren't useful to the plot, why include them? Is the book bad cause he meets people (women mostly) who can help him? 4. In Angels & Demons the villain tries to kill 4 cardinals and bomb the Vatican. In The Da Vinci Code the villain tries to find the Holy Grail (possibly for power). In The Lost Symbol the villain tries to reach fulfilment within the Freemasons. In Inferno the villain is actually the girl he meets who works to finish the goal of her late lover, the goal being to sterilize a specific type of people to stop overpopulation. In Origin the villain only tries to stop Edmond Kirsch, Robert Langdon and Ambra Vidal from launching a presentation. Literally none of the above are about world domination or destruction... If Dan Brown's books aren't for you, fine, they're not for you. No one can please everyone, and it's okay that you share your thoughts about it. But these aren't even logical arguments. This is just a rant.

    Having read the books before I saw the movie, Tom Hanks never was the Langdon I imagined. This guy comes much closer. Now, if they now can avoid the kind of mistakes that turned the great Inferno book into the subpar Inferno movie, I have high hopes for this one.

      @@mojaveplan5404 Lost Symbol is after Da Vinci code. There is even a slight mention about Da Vinci code in it. While the fact that the dude looks great at 37 is amazing, he doesn't suit Langdon even one bit imo.

    • @mojaveplan5404
      @mojaveplan5404 3 года назад

      @@GMPranav As far as understand, the order has been swapped for the show. Even the movies and the books have done that, because Angels and Demons was the first adventure of the book-Langdon, whereas the movie-Langdon began with The Da Vinci Code. Anyway, I will watch the show without prejudice, and hopefully I'll like it.
